A Simple Woman's Day Book - April 27th

Out side my window.....A cool autumn night, dark yet crisp and clear with sky full of beautiful stars and a new crescent moon.

I am thinking.... About tomorrow, I have a late doctors appointment in a town an hour away for one of the children. I need to have tea cooked early and rearrange afternoon chores.

From the learning rooms... Today was the first day of a new school term daddy was still home so he provided an extra distraction. The children all thought that if daddy had the day off school they should to.

I am thankful for... For all the work Mike did around the house while he was on holidays.

From the kitchen....The Children are cleaning up after a dinner of sausage and bacon in gravy with diced potato's and steamed veges.

I am creating.... Lesson plans for the new school term.

I am going....    To try and not waddle like a duck when I walk. Like many pregnant woman the further along this pregnancy gets the more I waddle. I am making a concerted effort to check my posture and reduce that waddle.

I am wearing.....   A Floral maternity skirt, green tee shirt and crocs.

I am reading....  I'm still making my way through Spirit of the Liturgy by Cardinal Ratzinger

 I am hoping....I haven't quite finished planning for this term of school work. So I hope that this week I can have it all prepared and every ones assignments typed up and printed.

Around the house....Little one's are asleep, older children are tidying the kitchen, daddy is reading to some and some are listenng to a story on the ipod dock. 

A few plans for the rest of the week....  Doctors appointments, a planning meeting with our homeschool group and hopefully a great start to a new school term.

Anna and Brigid found this little snake basking on a leaf of our pumpkin vine.

Were not sure what kind of snake it is but it sure had everyone attention here. If you look closely at this picture you can see a fly behind the snake that will give you some idea just how tiny this fellow was.

Out side my window.....The blue sky that look so promising this morning has been replaced by grey rolling clouds and gusty Autumn winds.

I am thinking.... About the upcoming school term and the direction our studies will take.

From the learning rooms...  Were on holidays at the moment I will be tidying up our learning area and planning the next school term this week.

I am thankful for... A loving husband and a wonderful brood of children to share my life with.

From the kitchen....While not technically from the kitchen but from the b-b-q. We will have a sausage sizzle for lunch.

I am creating....Weeell I'm TRYING to create an atmosphere of peace, order and simplicity within our home.

I am going....    To organise some special activity box's to keep a little boy occupied while the older children are doing their school work.

I am wearing.....   A batik maternity skirt, Brown blouse, thongs and of coarse those very sheik TED stockings

I am reading....  The Spirit of the Liturgyby Cardinal Ratzinger

 I am hoping.... That I can find my copy of Creating your own classical curriculumby Laura Berquist

Around the house.... Little boys are playing sword fights, a group of older boys are playing in the yard and daddy is working on that bedroom renovation.

A few plans for the rest of the week....  As we are on school holidays we will continue with the house renovations and general tidy up we will also attempt to clean out the shed.
